Objectives

This course is designed to provide the student with fundamental background knowledge in the area of biomedical engineering. Specific objectives are:

  1. have the student appreciate the physical, mechanical, and chemical properties of tissues and organs

  2. learn to apply engineering concepts such as mass and momentum transfer and mechanics to problems concerning the design of materials and devices used in the body

Lectures are held in KIN 201 :

  • Tuesdays at 11:30am
  • Wednesdays at 1:30 pm
  • Fridays at 12:30 pm

Tutorials are held in KIN 201 :

  • Wednesdays at 4:30 pm

The tutorial session will be used to review the previous week's material followed by group problem solving exercises.
