Not Offered 2011/12
No TA Positions Required

Instructors:

Course Description

CHEE825/436 (System Identification) is concerned with the estimation of dynamic models from process data. We will be working primarily with discrete-time models in transfer function or difference equation form.

Specifically, we address the following problems:

  1. What are the most appropriate process and disturbance models given the data and other process knowledge?

  2. Model estimation and diagnosis.

  3. Experimental design - what sort of experimental program should we use to obtain informative data?

Additional information can be found in the sidebar at left.

I hope you enjoy the course, and find it useful.

Jim McLellan
