CHEE 824: Nonlinear Regression Analysis and Applications

Instructor:

Dr. Jim McLellan
Dupuis Hall, Rm 316
533-6343

Course Description

This course deals with estimating parameters in models in which the parameters appear nonlinearly. We will discuss model formulation, parameter estimation, regression diagnostics, inference for parameters and predicted responses, and experimental design. A range of models will be studied in the course: single response, multi-response, and ordinary differential equation models. We will be using JMP and Matlab software to estimate parameters, and Maple to visualize surfaces and parameter inference regions.

I hope you enjoy the course, and find it useful.

Jim McLellan
