Expectation Surfaces, Sum of Squares Surfaces, and Inference Regions
- Puromycin "Treated" Example - this worksheet computes the expectation surface for a subset of the dataset (three points, so I can generate the expectation surface and plot it), together with sum of squares surfaces for the nonlinear and linearized regression problems involving the three points. It also generates the sum of squares surface for the full dataset (of 12 points).
- BOD Inference example - this worksheet computes the linearization-based joint confidence region, likelihood region and highest posterior density (HPD) region for the BOD example from Bates and Watts. It has been modified slightly from the earlier version, so you should use this version.
