Welcome new faculty member, Ehssan Koupaie

E KoupaieEhssan H. Koupaie, joined the Chemical Engineering department as an Assistant Professor in July.  His key research interests include Energy and Resource Recovery from Organic Waste, Anaerobic Digestion, and Biological Wastewater Treatment, and he is looking forward to working with FEAS students.

“Students who join my research group will have the opportunity of getting involved in hands-on experiments, working with advanced analytical equipment, and practicing data analysis,” he says. “This training will enable them to have rewarding careers both in industry and academia in the growing area of environmental bioengineering.”

Dr. Koupaie will be working in a virtual classroom this fall teaching CHEE 471 (Chemical Process Design).
